Welcome to my very first blog for "Let's Get Our Grub On". So it doesn't take a genius to figure out what this blog is about...Grubbing. Yes, grubbing as in food but also grubbing as in "digging" getting to the root of the matter so to say. My root of the matter has to do with food addiction,some people have sex addiction,drug addiction,work addiction,gambling..so on and so on.In order to overcome their addictions they have to find the root of the matter and deal with the issues,not cover them up or mask them but deal and no one can do it alone. I'm sure some have but I am a social creature and I need my people,I need support and lately I haven't been afraid or ashamed to ask for it. At 40yrs old,I am so trying to get to the root of the matter. I look at it this way,it's never too late to heal.
Some of you know me personally and some of you know me virtually.This blog will speak to you all because we all eat or have something eating away at us. We all have a different relationship with food and with our Higher Power/God, with people and with the universe. Everyone loves food,we need it to survive.I've known this all of my life,"we need food to survive". We are supposed to eat to live. I...I have spent most of my life living to eat. Eating to fufill a need.
A need, turned into needs and a snack turned into over eating ,overcompensating,laying blame on my parents,laying blame on society,on my brothers death. So I got sympathy from kind people and disgust and indifference from cruel people,more needs,more blame.Where does it end?
I'm working on it.
I will not only be discussing eating/food. I will be interviewing celebrities,posting,events, music,videos,sharing my thoughts,my life,my trials,my progress,my downfalls,my triumphs,my laughter and my tears. I hope that you will join me and follow me on this wonderful exciting,sometimes scary journey of healing ..from the inside out. I hope that in some way I help you to heal and you can help me.
